 The Rules of Hope's Rebellion

    General Rules

  • No multiple accounts. If a member is found with multiple accounts the most recently added one will be deleted immediately and the member will be issued a warning.
  • Multiple characters are permitted in the game. There is a limit of 4 characters per account. If a member is found posting with excessive characters the posts will simply be deleted and the member will be issued a warning.
  • Profane, insulting or rude language is NOT permitted in any sort of post or message.
  • While relationships are welcomed between characters in the game, remember this is an all ages game and therefore no sexual content is allowed.
  • Posts have a 40 word minimum. If you find you do not have the time to write posts this long, it may be time to look at the amount of horses you own. If you want to check how many words you have written check here.
  • Unnecessary posts or spam clogs up the boards, don’t do it.
  • Use proper typing etiquette. Typing in CAPS is considered yelling and rude, don’t post entire posts this way
  • Posts MUST be spell checked. We have the option, use it.
  • Pictures with copyright symbols are NOT allowed to be used. It is against the law.
  • Hotlinking is not permitted. All photos must be uploaded to a server such as photobucket before posting.
  • Admins and moderators are not the only ones to be respected on this game, all members will be treated fairly at all times.
  • If you know you are going to be away, please post a message in The Lounge listing the dates and giving the names of anyone who may be taking care of your horses while you are away.
  • If we have not received any notice and a member is inactive for a month, their horses will be put up for adoption but their account will remain intact in the event that they return.
  • Never share your password with any other member. No admins or mods will ever need it, therefore no one should ever ask you for it.
  • Never share any personal info. ie: Phone numbers, addresses, home town.
  • If there is any offensive behaviour going on, do not participate in it! Report it to an admin or anyone of power who is logged in at the time.
  • Lastly, have fun!

    Horse Rules

  • Members may only adopt one Pleasure Horse and one Racing Horse per week. Any special requests must first be reviewed by an admin or a mod. Your level of activity and ability to take care of your horses will be assessed for cases like this.
  • Any horses that have not been cared for in a month will immediately be put up for adoption.
  • There is no limit on the amount of horses that you may own. You must be able to care for all of them properly however.
  • All events (ie: Shows or Races) must first be approved by an admin or mod. If your event is posted on the calendar, it has been approved. Look at the calendar here.
  • Do not care for other members horses unless the member or an admin has given you permission.
  • Any new stalls (ie: Adoption, birth) must be made by an admin or mod.
  • Your horses will be located in the Boarding Barns until you have acquired 5 horses, at that point you will be given the option of having your own barn.
  • Horses must be 3 years of age before breeding is allowed. Absolutely no inbreeding!
  • A mare will be in foal 6-7 weeks after breeding. Just like in the real world, a foal is not always born on the exact due date given. An admin or mod will determine the due date for you and will modify stats accordingly.
  • Once a foal is born it must stay with it's mother for at least 2 months before being weaned. It is crucial that the foal leans "how to be a horse" and gets the proper nutrients only a mother can give it. In the event that the foal is rejected or an orphan arrangements can be made for foster mothers.
  • Horses must be 2 years of age before they are allowed to be entered into races and 3 years of age before beginning to show.

    General Reminders

  • We run on a SIM year based system. A new year begins on January 1 (ie: 2008/1) and July 1 (ie: 2008/2).
  • This is a SIM game. We encourage all players to be as realistic as possible. Horses will not always be perfect, you can not train a horse to the highest level in one day and mares can only give birth to one foal a SIM year.
  • While we do have the option of visiting a “town” in HR, please remember the main focus of this game is the horses. If you have not yet taken care of your horses for the day you should not be lounging on Windsor Beach.

    Member Punishments

  • Any complaints of any sort will be looked at by an admin on an individual basis and a punishment will be decided from there
  • Any verbal abuse or threats will result in an immediate ban of the member.

When riding a horse we leave our fear, troubles and sadness behind on the ground.
